Hello,
Thanks for posting your query in Microsoft Community Forums.
From the result clarification I sympathise that you need to take Internet Explorer icon on desktop.
I would suggest yous to go to the path and create shortcut on the desktop.
i. Computer<local commuter (C:)<programme files<Internet Explorer<iexplore.exe
2. Right click on iexplore.exe and select ship to < Desktop (create shortcut).
Now you will have internet explorer icon on your desktop icon.
Hope it helps.

Answer
I don't understand local driver (c:) programme files.
Regards DP.
He/she/They ... meant C:\Program Files ...
They hateful for y'all to open Explorer ...
...yous can become to your desktop and by default your file explorer is pinned there next to IE
...or bring upwardly the Start Screen, start typing explorer ... then selecting File Explorer
Go to the C drive (its in the "Devices and drives" grouping, mine defaulted to "Local Deejay (C:)"
pointer downward to the C Drive or double click it with your mouse ... wait for "Program Files"
**** Just an update ****
An alternative for windows 8 / 8.1 users
- Kickoff your Desktop
- Click the start menu button
- right click on the IE icon (it should prove a "bank check mark" on the tile)
- and then at the bottom of your screen select "open file location".
- With the file location open (information technology will be shown in explorer),y'all can right click elevate and drop the icon from the explorer window, onto your desktop.
- A "right click context window" will appear asking what you desire to do, you want to select COPY hither... *not* move ... and *not* create shortcut (the icon you *right* click dragged and dropped was already a shortcut)
That takes out having to even bother looking for C bulldoze, program files, etc..
